Games I’ve backed on Kickstarter and Gamefound

Here is a list of games that I have backed and added to my collection:

Kickstarter has revolutionized the way board games are created and brought to market. As a board gamer, I've found joy in backing projects on this platform. Supporting creative endeavors not only helps bring innovative games to life but also allows me to be part of a community that shares my love for tabletop gaming. Here is a list of the games I’ve backed on Kickstarter or Gamefound.

Everdell: The Complete Collection
I backed Everdell in 2021 as my first Kickstarter, opting for the Complete Collection Pledge right from the start. While I was captivated by Andrew Bosley's artwork, I knew it was a gamble to go all-in without having played the game before. However, I have no regrets to this day and am thrilled every time I get to pull this enormous box off the shelf.

This was a no-brainer. I love Point Salad, and it's been in my collection since 2018 so when I heard that point City was being created, and was going to be a bit more challenging, I backed it immediately.

I don't remember when I first heard about this game, but I'm glad I did. I backed Doomlings back in 2022, and was a return backed when Overlush launced in 2023. Since then they have also come out with more expansions, Imaginary Ends.

I saw this game a lot online and heard many good things about it, when they decided to reprint it I had the chance to back them. I regret not going all in with their storage box and expansions. I have since acquired the Ghost Piece expansion, I'm still looking for the Finesse one.

I think I discovered this game through Instagram, as soon as I saw some of the artwork and learned that it was about travel I knew I couldn't pass up on it. It also gave me the chance to support a local independent producer from Germany, what's not to love.

This was an absolute no-brainer! I contemplated with myself about the price, but I know myself and knew that if I don't go for it I will regret it later on. As expected, I could not be more happy to have this giant collector's edition on my shelf.

Here are the rest of the games that I am still waiting to receive:

I think Santorini has great table presence. When I heard they were coming out with a new version I took it as my opportunity to get my hands on it. I was keeping a stricter budget when it came to buying games, so I unfortuantely backed without the Riddle of the Sphinx - I hope to get my hands on a copy once this comes to retail.
If you know me, you know that I love anything food related, so when I saw this game I knew I wanted to learn more. I love the artwork on all the recipe cards.

I love the theme of this game and the artwork is also by Andrew Bosley. I regret not getting the deluxe version.

I unfortunately missed the Kickstarter for Flamecraft back in the day and said that if another game comes out by Cardboard Alchemy that I would support it. Critter Kitchen has again the same artwork from Sandrana and one of my favorite theme in board games, this was an instant buy!

Again with the food theme, I wish I had more games from KGBT, this was my opportunity to support a great company.
The cover art and colors caught me immediately. I struggled to decide which components I wanted for this game. I think it looks really fun and I'm a sucker for a game with great table presence and fun gameplay.

Artwork by Andrew Bosley again, I have been eagerly awaiting for this to come to Kickstarter. I can't wait to get my copy, the gameplay seems very unique and I'm really excited to unlock all of the content.

I saw this game come out last year and was intrigued because of the theme and I'm glad I didn't buy it directly because now I had the chance to get the deluxe version. I know Elf Creek games because of Honey Buzz and I think they produce some really nice games with great materials.

This is a game I just bought at the beginning of this year. It's quite complex and when I heard they were coming out with an expansion I said I just need to go for it because of how well the game plays.

Backing games on Kickstarter and Gamefound has been an exciting journey, which has let me support some really great projects and be part of the board gaming community’s growth. I can’t wait to receive these rest of the games I'm still awaiting. Be sure to stay tuned for reviews as soon as the games arrive.
