Spiel Essen Wishlist

This year is flying by, and Spiel Essen is just one month away!!! I couldn't be more excited to attend this convention for the second time. 😁 It will take place from 3. - 6. October in Essen.

With my first visit under my belt, I'm better prepared for what to expect. Essen Spiel is the world's largest board game convention, and the sheer number of attendees last year was overwhelming. Now that I know the layout of the halls, I plan to approach each day with a solid game plan. I've created two lists: one of must-have games and another of games I'd like to have. The Spiel Essen app will be incredibly helpful for tracking down each game.

I'm also thrilled to be helping my friend Leonie again this year with her new game, Biome. Be sure to visit our booth (Hall 3 3A100) to say hi and play a game!

Avoiding the trap of excessive collecting and over-consumption is important to me. As I prepare for my trip to Essen by train, I'm mindful of the limited space I have to bring games back to Berlin. While my trusty IKEA bags will be on hand, my nearly full shelves at home remind me that I need to make careful choices. I'll focus on selecting games that will be played frequently enough to justify their purchase.
